I can’t wait to go live tomorrow to talk about o I can’t wait to go live tomorrow to talk about one of my favorite topics—how to overcome food fears and diversify the diet. You can’t conquer SIBO long term if your diet is restricted

People with SIBO have small intestinal microbiomes that are less diverse than people that don’t have SIBO. Limiting your diet can further lower your microbiome diversity so it is imperative to build diversity in your diet to foster diversity in your gut

But, obvious if you are on a restrictive diet and you have gut symptoms it can be challenging to diversify. Join me tomorrow at 4 pm EST to discover some tips that have helped my clients in this area

If you can’t make it live, please feel free to leave any question about this area in the comments and if time allows I will answer your questions #sibo #ibs #sibodiet #lowfodmap #lowfodmapdiet #ibsdiet #guthealth #microbiome
This process is what I use for both my one on one This process is what I use for both my one on one and group clients. My SIBO Root Cause Repair Process gives you the tools to find long term SIBO relief—not just bandaid approaches like many popular SIBO protocols

Just a friendly reminder, your diet should not zap Just a friendly reminder, your diet should not zap your time and energy. Your diet should boost energy, reduce symptoms and allow you to complete your day with more ease

So many of my clients come to me on diets that are making their lives harder! The diets are adding stress not reducing it

I believe the goal of diet change should be to foster your health so you can thrive. When this is the goal, you can steer diet in a productive direction

It is not productive to try to starve the gut with restrictions or avoid foods arbitrarily because of a list of yes/no foods. I have seen all to often this is a lose-lose situation for your gut and your productivity

Trust your own decision making about your diet and what foods make you feel good versus getting lost in the rabbit hole of restrictions

I help my clients learn how to trust themselves and find a diet that they can maintain long term. I have found that trusting yourself to make diet decisions is key to diet optimization

If you need some guidance on finding a productive diet, reach out or DM me to set up a free 20 minute Discovery Call #sibo #ibs #guthealth #ibsdiet #digestivehealth #digestion
Getting your gut health in shape requires so much Getting your gut health in shape requires so much more than diet change. It requires lifestyle change . If foundational lifestyle habits are missing in my clients lives, it can be impossible to make progress

Modern lifestyles make it hard to prioritize lifestyle habits. It’s easy and almost encouraged to burn the candle at both ends in our society

Leveraging your lifestyle can have profound effects on your gut health. The long term benefits majorly outweigh the short term benefits you can get from restricting your diet

Changing habits can be a challenge but start and take baby steps. Having a coach in your corner to hold you accountable and to work through barriers can also be very helpful

What lifestyle area do you feel like you struggle the most with? Please comment below

New blog post 🚨! Link in my bio! This blog was New blog post 🚨! Link in my bio! This blog was basically one long rant so be prepared 😂

Popular SIBO protocols continue to fail time and time again. I have worked with 100s of SIBO folks who are so frustrated that none of the diets work and that antimicrobials have stopped helping

And, many practitioners will say—SIBO is just a chronic condition that has to be managed with cyclical antibiotics and diet change. But this is not what I have found to be the case

You are not broken or doomed when you have SIBO. The current SIBO model is broken. It’s time to break away from all the protocol BS and dig deeper as to why aggressive dietary and antimicrobials don’t work long term

So check out my diet to learn the biggest problems I am seeing. And please comment any questions or feedback below! I would love to hear from you!! Again—link to post is in bio #sibo #ibs #gutheath #digestivehealth #sibodiet #lowfodmapdiet #lowfodmap #microbiome
Diet restrictions are stressful!! And if the stres Diet restrictions are stressful!! And if the stress outweighs the benefits, these diets could be hindering progress

Plus, the food is almost always not the problem. Stressing out about what foods to eat will not resolve breakdowns in motility and digestion that are leading to reactions to foods

I have seen time and time again my clients broaden up their diets and thrive. Many times it requires loosening the reigns to make progress

You can not restrict your way to better gut health. At some point you have to add diversity back in. If your diet feels suffocating—it might be time to broaden your horizons with more food variety

Is your diet stressing you out? Let me know in the comments #sibo #guthealth #ibs #lowfodmap #lowfodmapdiet #ibsdiet #sibodiet
You can’t clear your microbiome into the oblivio You can’t clear your microbiome into the oblivion! Herbals like antibiotics can have negative effects on your microbiome if over used

I work with so many clients that have done round after round of clearing to keep there symptoms at bay. But, this is not sustainable and it can make it harder to rebuild your gut

Clearing the SIBO is also not a root causal approach. You can clear bacteria all day long but unless you figure out why that bacteria is imbalanced in the first place you will only have short term success

And this is not to say that clearing is bad or not helpful because it certainly can be. But, it’s crucial to consider pros and cons with herbals. They aren’t inherently sad long term because they are natural

It is IBS Awareness Month, which means it’s my t It is IBS Awareness Month, which means it’s my time to expose IBS as the crappy diagnosis yet again. IBS is nothing more than a junk diagnosis. It doesn’t tell you anything more than you already know—that your gut is irritated

The sad thing is that IBS tends to be a dismissive diagnosis too. Your doctor says—we can’t find anything wrong on labs or imaging so it’s JUST IBS”. I can’t believe how many times I have heard my clients repeat that verbatim back to me about their discussions with their docs

It’s important to note that IBS is a syndrome not a disease. Meaning it is really labeling a cluster of symptoms but fails to elucidate what could be driving the symptoms. So basically IBS is a fancy label for your gut symptoms

But, there is always a root cause to IBS. Work with someone that helps you dig to the root cause of the symptoms and doesn’t just give you Metamucil and send you on your way

You deserve to a happy and healthy gut and it is within reach! I love helping my clients optimize their gut health so that their irritated gut is no more. If you need some support to look deeper at your gut health, please check out the link in the bio to set up a free 20 minute Discovery Call

I would love to hear your IBS stories below! How are you reclaiming your gut health right now?
